It really depends on the environment you live in. All straps come with a 1 year replacement warranty. In the hot, long summer of Arizona they may last a year a or two and need replaced. In more temperate climates they will last a lot longer. We'll know better as people have been using them for multiple years and provide more feedback.
I bought a Nissan 350Z and the top didn't go down all the way. I looked for a solution online and they were all really expensive or ugly. Looking at how the straps work and a lot of trial and error we ended up with SpyderBands and knowing there were others with the same issues decided to make them available to anyone.
Because it sounded better than VerBands, RoadsterBands, ToplessBands or anything else we could think of. Spyder is a common name for a convertible and we thought it sounded cool. Before the Nissan I was going to get a Fiat 124 and they were called Spyders so it was kind on already in my head.
Unless one gets damaged installing them I wouldn't recommend it. If one side of your OEM bands is more worn than the other I would still replace them both. If you do damage one on install somehow shoot us an email at spyderbands@gmail.com and we'll help you out.
We've gotten this question a number of times but as far as I know it's never actually happened. But if it does just email us at spyderbands@gmail.com and we'll gladly ship you a replacement.
Yes, in 2009 Nissan made some of the convertible 350Z in the United States. The hardtop transitioned to the 370Z that year causing some confusion.
Unfortunately not. The 370Z uses a completely different design and it isn't something we can produce that this time.
We have started a Facebook page and would love to have you post a review there. Of course if you have an issue with your SpyderBands let us know first and we'll help you get it resolved.
